What happens

The Lady Mevrian, watching from Krothering's battlements, receives tidings of the disastrous battle at Switchwater Way where Corinius ambushed the Demon forces, and witnesses King Gaslark's fleet landing at Aurwath only to be thrown back into the sea. She sends a messenger to Lord Spitfire to warn him of the miscarriage, and waits anxiously for news as the Witchland army encamps nearby.
