What happens

The Hardy boys, Chet Morton, and Biff Hooper celebrate their upcoming trip with Callie Shaw and Iola Morton at the Bon Ton Confectionery Shop. The next morning, they set out on motorcycles toward the coastal caves. During a swim break at a secluded lake, they discover that Frank's motorcycle has been stolen. The chapter also reveals that Carl Schaum, a member of a car theft gang previously caught by the Hardys, has escaped from jail.
