What happens
Jim Hawkins awakens to find himself in the hands of Long John Silver and the mutineers. Silver reveals that he has hidden the treasure map and tries to negotiate with Jim, offering him a chance to join the pirates. Jim refuses, and tensions rise as the pirates grow restless. Silver protects Jim from the other mutineers, and they set out to find the treasure, only to discover it has already been dug up by Ben Gunn. In the ensuing chaos, the loyal party ambushes the pirates, and the treasure is recovered. The story concludes with the party sailing back to England, leaving the pirates marooned on the island.
