What happens
Joanna arrives at Maggie's apartment to find her stabbed. Mr. Simpson discovers the body and alerts Joanna, who finds Maggie still alive. Joanna uses a tourniquet to stop the bleeding and calls Dr. Harry Portor. Maggie reveals that Henderson Neal stabbed her because she and Peter were planning to marry. Joanna, believing Peter might be involved, tries to protect him by falsely confessing to the stabbing. Harry sees through her lie and realizes her love for Peter. He tells Joanna he understands and remains her friend.
