What happens
The Hardy boys learn that Paul Blum has escaped from jail. They rush to their boathouse to take out their motorboat, the Sleuth, only to discover it has been stolen. Spotting Blum fleeing in their boat, they join Tony Prito in his motorboat to pursue him. A high-speed chase ensues across the bay. Blum's boat eventually runs out of gas, and the boys capture him, recover the Sleuth, and return to Bayport.
