Chapter 1
Dedication

Chapter 2
Contradiction
Christopher Robin and his friends prepare to say goodbye, framing the chapter as a 'Contradiction' to an introduction. Pooh and Owl discuss the meaning of the word, and the narrator reflects on the fleeting nature of their adventures, though the Forest remains a place for those who are friendly with bears.
Chapter 3
The House at Pooh Corner
In this final chapter, Christopher Robin prepares to leave the Hundred Acre Wood, and Pooh and his friends come to terms with the impending change. The chapter reflects on friendship, memory, and the bittersweet nature of growing up.
Chapter 4
In Which a House Is Built at Pooh Corner for Eeyore
Pooh and Piglet, unknowingly using the sticks from Eeyore's old house, build a new house for him on the other side of the wood. When Eeyore discovers his original house missing, Christopher Robin leads a search, and Pooh and Piglet nervously reveal their mistake. Eeyore, however, attributes the relocation to the wind and proudly claims the house as his own, while Christopher Robin, Pooh, and Piglet share a laugh and sing a song on the way home.
Chapter 5
In Which Tigger Comes to the Forest and Has Breakfast
Tigger arrives in the Hundred Acre Wood and meets Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Christopher Robin. He tries various foods—honey, haycorns, and thistles—but discovers he dislikes them all. Eventually, he finds that he likes Kanga's Extract of Malt, much to Roo's dismay.
Chapter 6
III: In Which a Search Is Organdized, and Piglet Nearly Meets the Heffalump Again
Rabbit organizes a search for his friend-and-relation Small, enlisting Pooh and Piglet. Pooh and Piglet accidentally fall into a Heffalump trap, where they nervously discuss how to handle a potential Heffalump encounter. Piglet imagines bravely talking back to the Heffalump. Small is later found by Piglet, and Rabbit informs Eeyore of the discovery.
Chapter 7
In Which It Is Shown That Tiggers Don't Climb Trees
Pooh sets out to visit various friends but ends up at Piglet's house. Meanwhile, Tigger and Roo get stuck in a tree. Christopher Robin, Eeyore, Pooh, and Piglet devise a plan to get them down using Christopher Robin's tunic as a safety net. Roo jumps successfully, but Tigger hesitates and eventually falls, landing on Eeyore, who dryly thanks him.
Chapter 8
In Which Rabbit Has a Busy Day, and We Learn What Christopher Robin Does in the Mornings
Rabbit wakes up feeling important and decides to organize things. He goes to Christopher Robin's house but finds a notice saying 'Gon out Backson Bisy Backson.' He consults Owl, who misinterprets the notice as referring to a creature called a Backson. Rabbit then asks Pooh if he has seen Christopher Robin in the mornings, and Pooh recalls that Christopher Robin has been absent lately. Meanwhile, Piglet picks violets for Eeyore, who is busy making an 'A' with sticks.
Chapter 9
In Which Pooh Invents a New Game and Eeyore Joins In
Pooh invents the game of Poohsticks while walking to a bridge over a river. He and his friends play the game, but their play is interrupted when Eeyore floats out from under the bridge after being bounced into the river by Tigger. The friends work together to rescue Eeyore, and Pooh's idea of dropping stones to create waves eventually helps wash Eeyore to the bank.
Chapter 10
In Which Piglet Does a Very Grand Thing
On a blustery autumn day, Pooh and Piglet visit all their friends to wish them a Very Happy Thursday. After a series of visits, they end up at Owl's house just as a gale blows it down, trapping them inside. Pooh devises a plan to hoist Piglet up to the letterbox so he can escape and get help.
Chapter 11
In Which Eeyore Finds the Wolery and Owl Moves Into It
Pooh composes a song about Piglet's bravery during the storm that destroyed Owl's house, while the animals search for a new home for Owl. Eeyore discovers a suitable house—which turns out to be Piglet's—and Piglet selflessly offers it to Owl, moving in with Pooh.
Chapter 12
X: In Which Christopher Robin and Pooh Come to an Enchanted Place, and We Leave Them There
Christopher Robin is leaving the Forest, and the animals gather at Eeyore's house to pass a resolution and present a poem. After an awkward goodbye, Christopher Robin and Pooh walk to the enchanted Galleons Lap, where they talk about doing Nothing, knights, and the world. Christopher Robin makes Pooh a knight and asks him to promise never to forget him, then they go off together, with the narrator assuring that a little boy and his Bear will always be playing in that enchanted place.
