Chapter 1

III: We "Sink" the "Ground Ships"
The American forces, under the temporary command of Boss Handan, employ a new tactic to destroy the Han ground ships. After an initial nighttime ambush using long-range artillery, the Hans launch a daylight assault with canopy-protected ships. A scout observes that the ships cannot escape deep holes, leading to a strategy of churning the ground ahead of them with time rockets. The Americans encircle and destroy the entire squadron, annihilating the second ground sortie of the Hans.

IV: Han Electrono-Ray Science
The narrator describes a Han airship equipped with a new armored repeller ray and a superbeam, which attacks American lines. Observing from his inertron shell, the narrator studies the ship's interior and then provides a layman's explanation of the Han's electronic and ionic technology, including the starter, pullee, and sub-disintegrator powers, as well as the repeller ray and disintegrator ray mechanisms.

Chapter 7
Captured!
Anthony Rogers, having survived a perilous descent from his damaged swooper, awakens to find himself captured by a Han foot patrol. He is taken before their commander, who mocks him and reveals that he is to be delivered to the Air Lord San-Lan. Rogers observes the Hans' physical appearance, uniforms, and cynical, sardonic culture, noting their lack of genuine respect despite rigid formalities.
Chapter 8
Hypnotic Torture
Anthony Rogers is taken to the Han stronghold of Lo-Tan, where he endures two months of mental and moral torture, including hypnotism, faked images of his wife Wilma, and seduction attempts by Ngo-Lan. He resists through his 20th-century willpower and love for Wilma, gaining the respect of ruler San-Lan, who eventually stops the torture. Rogers reflects on Han philosophy, the nature of consciousness, and the moral decay of their civilization.
Chapter 9
IX: The Fall of Nu-Yok
The narrator describes his precarious position as a prisoner and honored guest of San-Lan, who warns him he will be eliminated once he ceases to be useful. San-Lan receives news that the Nu-Yok fleet has been destroyed, the city is in ruins, and the surviving Han forces are surrounded in the Adirondacks. The chapter details the American attack using inertron rockets that bypass the ray walls, the complete destruction of Nu-Yok, and the subsequent hand-to-hand fighting in the Ron-Dak hills where the Wyomings, Delawares, and other American units annihilate the remaining Han troops.

X: Life in Lo-Tan, the Magnificent
The narrator describes life in the Han city of Lo-Tan, focusing on the social structure, technological marvels, and moral decay. San-Lan distances himself, and the narrator observes the lazy, dependent lifestyle enabled by advanced projectoscopes and automated services. The chapter details the rigid class system—Ku-Li, Ki-Ling, Man-Din, and the powerful Yun-Yun repairmen—and the degraded status of women, who are reduced to slaves despite nominal freedom. San-Lan contemplates reforms but is constrained by the Yun-Yun's control over the city's machinery.

XI: The Forest Men Attack
Anthony Rogers, still a prisoner among the Hans, observes their preparations for escape to underground cities via 'escape tunnels' and learns from San-Lan of their plan to wage war from beneath the earth. He then witnesses a distant rocket barrage from the Forest Men, which continues through the night, and receives a report from his guard the next morning.

XII: The Mysterious 'Air Balls'
The Americans deploy remote-controlled 'air balls' to terrorize the Han city, causing panic, death, and revolt among the population. Amid the chaos, Anthony Rogers, imprisoned in Lo-Tan, is contacted by one of the air balls, which reveals itself as a rescue device. Through it, he reconnects with his wife Wilma, and plans his escape.
Chapter 13
Escape!
Anthony Rogers, having been rescued by Wilma via an ultronically controlled air ball, shares intelligence about Han plans and underground cities. The Americans accelerate their attack on Lo-Tan. Rogers attempts to escape through the city's magnetic car tunnels, encountering a Han woman and a repair man. With Wilma's remote assistance via the air ball, he kills the repair man and faces Ngo-Lan, the Heaven-Born's favorite.
Chapter 14
XIV: The Destruction of Lo-Tan
Anthony Rogers, having escaped from Lo-Tan, reunites with the Wyoming Gang and Wilma. He learns that his capture was tracked by scopemen, and the Rocky Mountain Gangs have been planning an assault on Lo-Tan. Rogers provides intelligence on Han escape tunnels, leading to a coordinated attack using explosive air balls. He personally leads a unit to destroy the tunnels, causing massive destruction to the city and its underground complexes.
Chapter 15
XV: The Counter-Attack
The American forces face a grave situation as Han armies advance from the north and southwest, equipped with new atomic projectile weapons. Jim Hallwell, commander-in-chief, plans a defensive withdrawal, but Anthony Rogers and Wilma argue for an aggressive attack. They are permitted to lead the Wyomings in a diversionary assault. Rogers deploys his troops, uses a radio-scrambling broadcast to disrupt Han communications, and coordinates air-ball scouting with rocket artillery. Despite heavy losses, the Americans inflict damage. Rogers ultimately hands command to Wilma and leaps into the fray himself.
Chapter 16
Victory
The American forces achieve a decisive victory against the Hans, with Anthony Rogers and Wilma leading a fierce assault. The Han army is annihilated, their emperor San-Lan perishes, and the reclamation of America begins. The narrator reflects on the inhuman origins of the Hans and the moral necessity of their extermination, while celebrating the dawn of a new era of peace and scientific civilization.
