What happens

Prince Bentrik asserts his authority as regent over Fleet Admiral Bargham's objections, then leads a fleet to Abaddon where they discover Dunnan's abandoned base. The fleet proceeds to Marduk, engaging Dunnan and Makann's forces in a major space battle. They make contact with Moonbase, learning that King Mikhyl VIII is likely dead and that Dunnan has taken control of Malverton.
