What happens
Mrs. Bellowes, an elderly woman seeking God, joins Mr. Thirkell's fraudulent religious space tour to Mars. After delays and a forced inspection, she and the other elderly women discover the rocket is a decrepit wreck. In a desperate act, Mrs. Bellowes forces Thirkell to launch, but the ship explodes, scattering the passengers into space. As she drifts alone toward the stars, Mrs. Bellowes maintains her faith, imagining God's hand reaching for her.
