Yandro (the amnesiac protagonist) is forced into a duel with Rohbar, whom he defeats but is then executed by Gederr. Afterward, Doriza reveals that the Council has been lying to him: he is not Yandro but Barak of the Newcomers, and they plan to use and then kill him.
