The Stolen Body explained
Mr.
What happens
Mr. Bessel, a psychical researcher, attempts to project his spirit to Mr. Vincey. He succeeds in leaving his body but finds himself in a shadowy realm filled with malignant, grasping phantoms. He tries to contact Vincey, fails, and returns to find his body has been taken over by a violent, life-craving entity that wreaks havoc in his rooms. Vincey discovers the chaos and learns from the porter that Bessel fled into the night, laughing maniacally.
