What happens
André-Louis Moreau, a young lawyer and godson of M. de Kercadiou, is deeply affected by the death of his friend Philippe de Vilmorin, who is killed in a duel with the Marquis de La Tour d'Azyr. Swearing revenge, André-Louis delivers a fiery speech at Rennes that incites the Third Estate, forcing him to flee Gavrillac. He joins a traveling theater troupe led by M. Binet, adopting the role of Scaramouche, and begins his transformation into the revolutionary figure Omnes Omnibus.
