What happens
The Diet of Fehervár disapproves of the secret proceedings against Banfi, but Teleki manipulates Apafi into dissolving it. The league draws up thirty-seven articles of accusation, and Banfi is condemned to death. Apafi signs the death warrant under pressure, and Csaky is dispatched to Bethlen Castle to execute it. Lady Banfi dies of shock upon learning of the sentence, and Banfi is executed despite last-minute attempts by Beldi and the Princess to save him.
