What happens
After his death in a traffic accident, the spirit of Mr. Tilly attends a séance hosted by Mrs. Cumberbatch. He discovers that the medium is a fraud, but decides to cooperate by using her mind to manifest phenomena, including a luminous star on the ceiling. Despite the genuine supernatural occurrence, the sitters later dismiss the event as trickery. Mr. Tilly's spirit is never again experienced by the attendees.
