Demetrios, disguised as a minstrel, gains entry to the Castle of San' Alessandro where Perion is imprisoned and condemned to death.
What happens
Demetrios, disguised as a minstrel, gains entry to the Castle of San' Alessandro where Perion is imprisoned and condemned to death. He befriends the gaoler Ambrogio Bracciolini by singing songs and spinning a tale about hidden emeralds to lure him into a trap. When Bracciolini attempts to force Perion to reveal the gems' location, Demetrios strangles and kills him, then takes the keys to free Perion.
