Tom Godwin

Tom Godwin (1915–1980) was an American author primarily active in the mid-20th century science fiction magazine era. He is best remembered for his 1954 short story "The Cold Equations," a landmark tale of hard science fiction that explores the unforgiving logic of physics and moral choice.
