Mina Loy

Born in London in 1882, Mina Loy was a key figure in modernist literature and art. She moved to Paris in the early 1900s, where she associated with Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound, and other avant-garde artists. Her poetry, collected in "The Lost Lunar Baedeker" and other works, is noted for its experimental language, sharp wit, and exploration of female experience. Loy also painted and wrote plays, contributing to the Dada and Surrealist movements. Her literary legacy lies in her bold, unflinching voice that influenced later feminist and experimental poets. She died in Aspen, Colorado, in 1966.
