罗贯中

Luo Guanzhong (c. 1330–1400) was a Chinese novelist and dramatist of the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties. Little is known of his life, but he is traditionally credited with writing 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms,' one of the Four Classic Novels of Chinese literature. The novel dramatizes the turbulent years of the Three Kingdoms period (184–280 CE), blending historical events with legendary tales of loyalty, strategy, and heroism. Luo's narrative mastery and vivid characterizations established him as a pioneer of the historical novel in China. His work influenced countless adaptations across opera, film, and television, and remains a cultural touchstone for themes of statecraft and honor. Though other works are attributed to him, 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' secures his legacy as a foundational figure in Chinese fiction.
