Karl Marx

Karl Marx was born on May 5, 1818, in Trier, Prussia. He studied philosophy and law at the universities of Bonn and Berlin, where he was influenced by the ideas of Hegel. After a career in journalism, he moved to Paris and later London, where he spent much of his life in exile. His most famous work, "The Communist Manifesto" (1848), co-authored with Friedrich Engels, called for the working class to overthrow capitalist systems. Marx's magnum opus, "Das Kapital," critically analyzed political economy and the dynamics of capital. His writings profoundly influenced socialist movements, labor history, and academic disciplines such as sociology and economics. Marx died in London on March 14, 1883, leaving a legacy as one of history's most influential thinkers.
