George Dilnot

George Dilnot (1882–1943) was an English journalist, editor, and writer of detective fiction. He worked as a journalist for several London newspapers before turning to fiction. His most notable work, "The Lazy Detective," features a clever, unconventional sleuth and reflects the style of the Golden Age of detective fiction. Dilnot also wrote true crime books and historical works, drawing on his journalistic background. While not as widely remembered as some contemporaries, his contributions helped shape the popular mystery genre in the early twentieth century.
