## What happens

Trask faces a political crisis as his followers grow restless waiting for a Xochitl attack that never comes. News arrives that Omfray of Glaspyth, aided by Prince Viktor of Xochitl, has invaded Gram. Trask rejects both a retaliatory raid on Xochitl and a crusade to liberate Gram, fearing either would destroy Tanith's fragile civilization. Harkaman warns that inaction will dissolve Trask's coalition.
