## What happens

Prokop and Dr. Krafft, along with Holz, are besieged in a small house near the castle. Prokop sneaks into the stable to see the Princess, and they share a passionate but restrained moment. After returning, they discover that Holz has been captured. Prokop and Krafft then retreat to a floating bathing platform, where Prokop, feverish and melancholic, recalls the Princess. Dr. Krafft fortifies the platform, and Prokop, in a moment of despair, kisses him.
