# Scene IV explained — Julius Caesar

## What happens

On another part of the battlefield, Brutus and young Cato rally their troops. Cato is slain, and Lucilius is captured by enemy soldiers. Lucilius pretends to be Brutus to protect him, but Antony recognizes the ruse and orders Lucilius to be treated kindly, then sends men to find the real Brutus.
